I am the oldest of four children and was raised in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. I am married and have four children, a daughter-in-law and a son-in-law ages 22-28, for a total of six. I have four grandsons and a granddaughter, I love being a grandma. My favorite things to do other than teaching are spend time with my family, read, use power tools to build stuff, and meet new people. My favorite food is anything I don’t have to make, my husband does the cooking. My favorite place to visit is the beach in California and my parents and daughters in Washington, Utah. My classroom experience includes teaching G.A.T.E., teaching music at Salem Elementary for 5 years, and substitute teaching in Nebo School District for 8 years, before coming to Foothills Elementary.
I believe children have good hearts and keen minds and that the classroom should be an environment where we educate and instill in students the need to be kind, respectful of others and their differences, have integrity and encouraged to go the extra mile in all they do. They must learn to make well thought out decisions based not only on what someone says, but on what they themselves have learned and believe to be right. I am so excited to be here and have the opportunity to teach your children! |
